Exploration

When it comes to designing new ideas, my inspiration can derive from anything. Most commonly I used creative books and magazines to start my flow of ideas, which then leads on to sketching and playing about with my ideas.

For illustration inspiration, I tend to use books such as:

The big book of Illustration Ideas by Roger Walton (2006)

Illustration now! by Julius Wiedemann (2005)

Above are two examples from 'Illustration Now!'

Illusive: Contemporary Illustration and its context (2005)

Above are some pages from 'Illusive: Contemporary Illustration and its context'

In these books there are samples of different illustrators work, once I find an Illustrator which I like, I would go and visit their website to look at more of their work for inspiration.

Stina Persson has become one of my favorite illustrators, which I found in the book 'Illusive: Contemporary Illustration and its context'
